A good play space should make play easier, not give the venue more to worry about.

The quality of our work also comes down to the brands we choose to represent. We bring products to the Middle East designed around safety, hygiene and commercial use from the start, making them safer for children and easier for venues to maintain.

Here is what that looks like in practice.

Safety standards are the starting point.

European EN 71 standards set detailed requirements for toy and play safety, including mechanical and physical safety, flammability and the migration of certain elements.

IKC play systems are independently tested and certified by SGS against these standards. But certification is only the baseline.

Our manufacturers also carry out their own quality checks throughout production, helping maintain control over how each product is built, finished and inspected before it leaves the factory.

Safety starts with how it is built.

Small details matter when the end user is a child.

Our manufacturers design play systems without loose or detachable parts, helping reduce avoidable choking and snagging risks. We also look closely at where materials come from, with timber products using FSC certified wood from responsibly managed sources.

The finish matters too. Antibacterial paint and wear-resistant coatings help protect surfaces through repeated commercial use while keeping routine cleaning simple.

For day-to-day care, warm water and a wipe-down can often be enough.

Softer play should still be simple to clean.

Not every play product has a hard surface, so hygiene has to be considered differently.

JollyHeap is another brand we chose to bring to the Middle East because its soft magnetic blocks are designed with practical care in mind. They can be vacuumed or wiped down day to day, then machine washed at 30°C and air dried when a deeper clean is needed.

Wash. Dry. Play again.

For soft play that is handled, moved and shared throughout the day, that simplicity matters.

Flooring safety is engineered.

EPDM is often associated with hard playground surfaces, but the real safety work happens underneath.

That is why we work with EUROFLEX. Their flooring combines an EPDM surface with recycled rubber impact protection beneath, with the thickness adjusted to suit the maximum fall height of the equipment above.

For play equipment over 60cm, impact protection becomes part of the safety requirement. The tiles fit together to create a stable, shock absorbing surface designed around the space itself.

For us, the flooring is not an afterthought. It is part of the safety engineering of the whole play area.

Safety continues into the layout.

From design intent through to manufacturing, our play products are engineered around child safety. But that is only part of the picture.

When we plan a play space, our Managing Director maps the layout around the flow of the venue and where parents or carers are likely to be. Low fencing, open sightlines and considered positioning help keep children visible without making the space feel restrictive.

The layout itself can also help guide movement naturally through the play area, reducing unnecessary congestion while keeping key activity in view.

The aim is simple: children can play freely, while parents and carers can relax knowing they can still see what is happening.

Safety considered at every stage.

Our standards do not stop once a play space is installed. Every play product comes with a standard warranty, and ongoing service support is available to help keep equipment safe, presentable and functioning as intended over time.

Just as importantly, much of this is considered before anything reaches your floor. From product selection and fall heights to sightlines, capped corners, flooring and maintenance, the details are worked through during the design stage.
